Liverpool Counts Quality Mark & NSPCC Fundraiser

On Friday 3rd February we are fund raising for the NSPPC by wearing clothes with a number on them and bringing in a voluntary donation of £1. We will be using these numbers as a basis for our maths lessons that day. We will talk about odd/ even numbers, making a total and multiplying etc. You might want to do a little bit of number work on your way to school- count how many red cars, can you spot any odd or even numbers in the environment? Can you spot your number in the environment? Any of these activities will be a great start to the day!

We are also focusing on Maths in real life and next Tuesday 7th Feb, our Chair of Governors Mrs Lawrence will be talking to year 1 about how she uses maths in her job as a nurse. This Thursday 2nd Feb John Poland will talk to our Year 2 children about maths and football.

There will be a letter given out soon for any Parent / Carer who feels they could come and speak to the class their child is in, about how they use maths in their job or hobby (Staff will give a few pointers if required!)
