We were delighted to receive our award at a ceremony in Liverpool Central Library on the 11th of July. In total, 22 schools received this award, only 3 of which were infant. We were awarded GOLD in recognition of our committment to promoting reading for pleasure. A rigorous assessment involved staff, pupil, parent and governor interviews; as well as a tour of our school and a file full of evidence! Our assessor was very impressed during her visit and commented in her final report that;
“The school has developed an outstanding approach to reading for pleasure which includes and embraces the contributions of the whole school community with excellent outcomes.”
