On the 21st of March a representative from School Improvement Liverpool’s Maths Team spent the morning in our school, seeing all the wonderful things we do to celebrate and encourage maths-learning.
He was overwhelmed with the whole school community; the children, staff, parents/carers and partners. He was particularly impressed with our case study, which involved inviting parents in to school to talk to the children about maths in real life, or to attend a ‘Stay-and-Play’, or ‘Maths Discovery’ Session in their child’s class.
We are very pleased to report that our school was awarded the Gold Level award. This is a great achievement and something we should all be proud of – well done St. Cecilia’s Catholic Infant & Nursery School!
